B & T X Selective Test Tool Specifications Sheets
The B & T X Selective Test Tool is used to pressure test the tubing above the landing nipple in which it is set.
The locator mandrel on this tool allows the operator the flexibility to locate, land, and pressure test the tubing from any desired B & T X Landing Nipple within the tubing string.
If it becomes necessary to leave the X Selective Test Tool downhole, upward jarring will shear two pins that connect the fishneck to the ball housing. This will allow the tool string to return to the surface. An internal fishneck on the ball housing of the assembly will allow it to be retrieved with a B & T GS Pulling Tool.
The X Selective Test Tool tests tubing, locates leaks, or sets hydraulic set packers. When the keys are retracted in a selective position, the tool is run to a point below the desired landing nipple. Jarring up the X Selective Test Tool will then pick up the keys to trip to a non-selective position. Pressure may then be applied from above.
